Bishop Cotton Academy of Professional Management, Yelahanka, celebrated its 10th Annual Cultural and Sports Day on 4th March, 2017. The Guests of Honour, B.L. Bharathi, International Athlete, and Mr. Sandeep Chouti, International Kabaddi player, graced the occasion with their presence.
They were joined by Members of the Board of Management, Mr. Devdas Sadhu, Mr. John Rajan and Mr. K. E. Winfred Joshua, Mrs, Babitha, Principal, C.E.Z.M School, Mr. Rabbi Puthran, Principal, United Mission Degree College, Rev. Noah Vasanth Kumar, Presbyter-in-charge of Christha Prabhalaya Church and Mr. Suresh A. R.
The event started in an extravagant manner with lighting of the lamp by dignitaries and the Athletic Torch being carried by the members of Student Council. Principal, Mr. Sam Martin Christopher and Mrs. Bharathi B.L received the salute of the impressive march-past by students of all classes. The Athletes Oath was administered by Krishna, Sports Secretary of BCAPM.
Mrs. Bharathi addressed the gathering and motivated students to actively participate in Sports without neglecting their studies. She expressed her views on the importance of Physical Education and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She motivated the students by sharing her journey to the Olympics and how her parents were a constant support to her throughout. She urged the students to respect and heed to their parents’ advice, which would definitely help them in the long run.
